2nd Annual Buck Simmons Memorial Goes To Casey Roberts
Blue skies met the Ultimate teams as they pulled into Toccoa Speedway for the
2nd annual Buck Simmons Memorial. 20 teams signed in for the action under the
lights.The teams rolled onto the speedway for hot laps and track record holder
Chris Ferguson set quick time in hot laps with a 12.44 time. Brett Miller was
2nd quick and Kid Quick Zack Mitchell posted 3rd quick time. In the VP race
fuels race for the pole Casey Roberts went out first and posted a time of
12.652.

2nd Annual ULTIMATE Series Buck Simmons Memorial Set For
Saturday At Toccoa Speedway
Toccoa, Georgia – Officials of the Toccoa Speedway and the ULTIMATE Super
Late Model Series announced today that this Saturday’s event at Toccoa Speedway
will be the 2nd Annual Buck Simmons Memorial. The event which will pay tribute
to a Georgia dirt racing legend, who traditionally drove a car with that was
numbered 41, will pay $4100 to win and $410 to start the 41 lap feature event.
Simmons, who was a first-ballot National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame inductee
as well as a member of the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame, had a racing career
which spanned close to 5 decades during which he racked up a whopping 1,024
feature victories on dirt and asphalt. Simmons officially retired in 2004 due to
persistent health issues.

Roberts Edges Carrier At I-77 Raceway Park For $5000 ULTIMATE Series Victory
Before Saturday afternoon, Casey Roberts had never even seen the 3/8ths of a
mile I-77 Raceway Park. But when the checkered flag fell for the night’s
ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series 50 lap feature no one could have ever guessed.
All Roberts did was set fast time over a strong field of racers from all over
the area and then best Eddie Carrier, Jr. in a wild side-by-side battle over the
entire last half of the race to score the $5000 payday. In doing so Roberts
became the first repeat winner of the 2013 season for the ULTIMATE Series and he
further extended his points lead.

ULTIMATE Sanctioned USA 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway Reset for July
13th
Jamaica, Virginia – Officials of the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and
the Virginia Motor Speedway announced today that the 34th Annual USA 100 has
been rescheduled for Saturday, July 13th at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia half-mile
facility. The USA 100 will carry sanctioning from the ULTIMATE Super Late Model
Series and will pay $10,000 to the winner.
